Two of Hearts

So way back when I said I had contacted a person about doing some wholesale work and then I said I'd update you. And then I didn't. Until now! I made these heart trees up above. Aren't they darling?!?!?! They are part of a line of adoption jewelry at the site Many Hearts, One Beat.

Earlier this week the owner let me know that she only has one more in stock! Wee!

More Flowers in the shop!

So some people have been asking when was I going to add more flower vases with different colors into the shop. Well, I was having trouble locating colors I *really* like (like that yellow. Love it!) so I searched and searched and searched some more until I was pleased! I am sure I'll be getting in some more colors soon as well. Click on the color name to be taken to this item in my shop.
Yellow

Ruby red

Opally turquoise blue (that's a technical term of course)

Ah! Minty Fresh - Day 14

So here is my latest tree. Isn't it minty fresh? This lovely one reminds me of Spring. We're waiting Spring! Sterling silver trunk, branches and frame hold amazonite leaves.

This tree stands 1 in tall x 1.5 in wide (2.5 cm x 3.8 cm) and hangs from a lightweight 18" sterling silver chain. It is available for purchase here in my lil' Etsy shop.

Just for fun I thought I'd throw in this photo. Looks great with brown!

The Watched Pot...

Caged Bird in brown and green

Mossy Tree

Bursting Blooms in blue

Bursting Blooms in wine

...never boils. So sorry I've gone so long without an update! I hope that I find you all well. In my shop I am one tiny sale away from 50. Woohoo! I was hoping that after being featured twice in a week, that publicity might send me over the edge. No such luck. In fact, this is the longest period of time I've had between sales. I know you're saying, Nina, boo hoo. Get over it. ;P Anyhow so I'm just sitting on 49 twiddling my thumbs. I know the watched pot never boils. So I just have to forget about it and be very busy living life and creating and then it'll happen. So hard to not check every two seconds though. lol.

Above are the newest items in the shop!
What else? I'm working on a few designs in my head hoping to get them in production by February. That is my absolute favorite part of the creative process - the problem solving aspect. How do I translate what is in my head to the materials. It can be fun, exciting, frustrating but pretty much always is oh so rewarding.

Alright good people. Off to be creative!

New Items in the Shop

Here are the latest items in the shop! First up is the Marshmallow Tree. Don't you just want to eat it? You can probably tell I was hungry when I was deciding what to call that one. ;)

Next we have the Bursting Blooms in lilac! I think these baskets would be really great as bridal jewelry as well as every day cuteness. ;D

I made this set for my mom. It just arrived at her home today and she loves it! This is only the second time I've made a cage frame that is more cage like in shape.

The rundown.

Hi people! Haven't been doing as much creating as I would like so I've got to get back in the lab! But this is just a little rundown on what I've been up to.

*I have been working on my photography skills (hence the first picture of this post. Isn't it awesome?!?!) lately. The items you see here are not for sale as they've already been sold! This was a custom order that I did. Don't you just love how that one bird has an eye?!?! I've got a couple more like that in the stash too. :)

*I've done two custom orders in the last week which I am happy about. :) Those can be really fun. One was the items above, the other was a remake of the Mind/Heart Pendant. I have one more to do that I know of. It is another For The Bird Series set very much like the one above. The thing with the birds is that it is very difficult to find two, let alone three that match so it is kind of a crazy but fun challenge. :)

What else have I been up to... Oh! I submitted a pic of the Holly Holiday Tree to the Moo Holiday Card Competition. I've also joined Flickr to get myself out and about some more. Lots of links in this post. Lol.

I've sent a few tree pendants off to a consignment shop that has a physical store as well as a web presence. I'll post those pics up later. The shop owner said that she put them out in the store yesterday and they are already getting compliments. Woohoo! I'm excited about this new opportunity!

I have a new design that I'm working out in my head. Can't wait to get it down in wire. Also going to be organic baby!

I'm going to start tackling earrings in a more serious fashion.

But today, I'm going to make myself a ring. Because I haven't made anything for myself in a really long time. A long time being...a week. lol. I'll DEFINITELY post that up (if it goes well. lol.)

toodles!

Chipper, Chirpy Birdie Earrings

Who doesn't need a pair of birdies chirping in their ears all day? Never fear, these guys are the silent type. I finally got around to making some earrings. Actually, this is the second pair. My mom is scooping up the first. hee hee

These little fellas are available for purchase in my Etsy shop here.

The matching pendant has been sold!

On the front page!

Dear batty friends,

Sorry that I've been a bit neglectful! I've been a bit busy. Here's a quick update for you:

I've been filling a few custom orders - some on Etsy, some not. Mysterious... ;)

I'm working on a few more prototypes for the For The Birds series. I've added the Oval Cage and was very excited to have it sell right away!

Also, this morning, I made it to the front page again! I never seem to be on the computer when this happens. ;) My pendants were in an Etsy treasury called "Caged!" Click on the photo above for a larger view.

Back to work for me!

Freed Bird Pendant

Original design by Beads In The Belfry! Part of the For the birds series. This birdie has sold.

This little birdie made of Imperial Jasper, is free to fly wherever he pleases! He has chosen to perch for a bit on this branch with its two little Mouakite flowers.

The branch is a sterling silver tube bead outfitted with smaller sterling silver branches. Our bird has a hand formed and forged coil (spiral) wing.

Don't be fooled by its delicate appearance. This pendant has been hammered for additional durability. The bird itself has been wire wrapped to the branch. Yet and still, I wouldn't give it to my dog as a chew toy.

Impression Jasper showcases many colors and no two stones are exactly alike. This means each and every piece will be one of a kind! Convo me if you want a custom order.

Measures 1 in tall x 2 in wide.

Beads In The Belfry Exclusive!

OK. I came up with an original and really fun design over the past few weeks. I am calling it the "For the Bir
ds Series."

Here is the first in the series. It's the Caged Bird Pendant.
This birdy has flown the coop. It has been sold!

Stone birdie made of Imperial Jasper sits atop his perch with two little Mouakite flowers.

Our bird is caged in a heavy gauge hand forged sterling silver frame and has a hand formed and forged coil (spiral) wing.

Don't be fooled by its delicate appearance. This pendant has been hammered for additional durability. The bird itself has been wire wrapped to the frame. Yet and still, I wouldn't give it to my dog as a chew toy.

Imperial Jasper showcases many colors and no two stones are exactly alike. This means each and every piece will be one of a kind! Convo me if you want a custom order

Measures 1 in tall x 3/4 in wide.

Please note this listing is for a pendant only.

Working on a New Design

That I am SUPER EXCITED about!!!! Pics to come soon. I've been trying to figure out how to execute this idea that I've had in my head for some time now and I think that I've finally got it!

After much trial and error, I've made a prototype out of practice wire and now I'm ready for the real deal. Of course I ran out of the size wire that I need so must now go purchase some tomorrow. I must have it, like yesterday!

What can I say about it...hmmm... it's nature-inclined, delicate and shiny. Duh! I live for the shiny!

OK. I must head to bed now. At first I typed bead. Seriously guys, I have beads in the belfry!!!

Did I mention I'm excited??!?!!? How will I ever sleep!?!!?
