Other Things I've Made

Like most artists I know, I like working in more than one medium. Once upon a time I was completely obsessed with sewing. This came after I was completely obsessed with knitting. lol. My husband sometimes wants me to go back to knitting because it's quiet. lol.

My sister asked me to make her the ring bearer pillow for her wedding and I have had her sewing machine ever since. * I started making my own tops and even made a pair of pants. I'd even sold a couple of bags I made while I was working to co-workers who saw mine and wanted one! That was many moons ago and have since given away most of my fabric on FreeCycle in an effort to really focus in on my jewelry. I think it was a wise decision. Anyhoo...

I was doing a bit of late spring cleaning and came upon this and thought it would be fun to post up. I made it about 3 years ago...

I would love to see some work you've done that is not your known "thing!" Post a link below!

*Come to think of it, she asked me to go to the bead store to pick out the beads for her bridesmaid jewelry too and that's how I got back into jewelry. Thanks J!

Multi-faceted, multi-talented ... Nina, what can't you do?

I love it! Do you still use it?

Hmmm. I don't know if my first comment went through, but here's a link to some of my work that is not my "thing."

You know, I just stumbled on your blog and my sister is as "batty over baubles" as you! She's into waistbeads and knows all kinds of cool things about the value of all KINDS of beads. This is cool!

I love that bag! I've been doing a little more sewing too lately. I haven't found something to focus on just yet so most of what I've done is "out there" between my art shop and phin&lou on etsy. Here's a pic of a fun wristlette I did http://www.flickr.com/photos/26402793@N03/3644653737/
